
Coshocton County Dept. of Job & Family Services
This Agency houses many components of the CCOL. The Workforce Investment Act (WIA), GED/ABLE, Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation and Ohio Works First. All of these program's main goal is to make an individual self sufficient through training, education and financial assistance.
Coshocton County Career Center
Supplies adult education and vocational programs ranging from Welding I to Administrative Medical Assistant. Hobby and special interest classes are also offered. The Coshocton County Career Center is a Workforce Investment Act approved provider.
Ohio Department of Job and Family Services
Provides many services locally and on a state level. Intake and assessment, work registration, unemployment/filing information, job development, assisted job search, job listings both local and nationwide, job referrals, job placement (for skilled, unskilled, Para professional and professional) follow-up on job referrals, referrals to other services, information on programs and services, workshops, labor market information, tax credit information, mass recruiting services, employer marketing, and special information for Labor and Human Resources Professionals.
Coshocton County Veterans Service Commission
The Commission provides assistance to veterans, spouse, widows or dependants. The CCVSC can provide medical transportation, VA burial benefits, temporary financial assistance (food, shelter, housing and utilities), documentation assistance in filing and recording, and claims assistance. They also offer help in obtaining educational and vocational education.
Kno-Ho-Co Community Action Commission
Programs available through Kno-Ho-Co are: Housing, Emergency Services, Daycare, HEAP, Health Services, Homemaker and Personal Care, Transportation, numerous services for Seniors, and Weatherization.
Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission
There are two services available under ORSC: BVR- Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation and BVSI- Bureau of Service for the Visually Impaired. Basic services may include counseling & planning, personal & work adjustment training, vocational training, physical & mental restoration and job placement.
Child Care Resources Network (CCRN)
Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD)
The Child Care Resources Network helps parents find child care, works to increase the supply of child care and coordinates and provides training for child care providers. They also give technical assistance to help providers meet the daily challenges of child care and have a resource library to help providers, parents, daycare centers and agency staff to provide quality care and services to children.
Coshocton Metropolitan Housing Authority
Coshocton Metropolitan Housing Authority provides various rental assistance programs, not limited to Public Housing, Section * Choice Voucher, Rural Development elderly/handicapped/disabled, Homeownership programs through Choice Voucher, Homeownership through Ohio Housing Finance Agency, adult and adolescent extended learning through partnerships of Dept. of Job & Family Services and provides transportation to all affordable living residents throughout the county.
